The Hampton Inn & Suites – Houghton seeks part-time (up to 40 hours) Front Desk Attendants to join their hotel team in Houghton, Michigan. APPLY IN PERSON. Applications available to the Front Desk. Seeking candidates for weekday shifts (3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am shifts and occasional 7am-3pm) and weekend shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am).

Front Desk Attendants are key to delivering outstanding guest experiences, especially during the check-in and check-out process. The Hampton Inn & Suites is a market leader, 100+ room downtown hotel in a vibrant college community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
· Delight guests by providing information on hotel services and amenities as well as local information and attractions (directions, places to eat, entertainment, etc.).
· Engage and sell rooms to walk-in customers.
· Enter, change, post and process and reservations/charges to guest accounts using a computerized system.
· Respond in a timely and friendly manner to guest inquiries on making a reservation, account charges, complaints, inquiries, etc.
· Inform housekeeping of room statuses and availability.
· Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
· Balance cash drawer.
· Work collaboratively with team members and stay current on communication log.

COMPENSATION.
Starting wage of $13.00 or more per hour based on your experience.

SCHEDULE.
Part-time positions available with shifts from 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM and occasionally 7AM-3PM during the week and 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM on the weekends. Flexibility required to cover mornings, weekends, over nights, and/or holidays as needed. During busy times you may have up to 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS.
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Preference given to candidates with prior resort or hotel front desk experience.
· Someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service at all times and understands that we’re leaders in our industry and in our community--- integrity is essential.
· You will work with a computerized hotel guest reservation system and the internet to maintain accounts and search for work-related information.
· Flexibility in your schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays) customary with the hotel industry.
· Someone motivated to use safe work practices and is resourceful in solving problems.
· Position requires an ability to lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and work with cleaning chemicals as needed.
