Sunbelt iscurrently seeking a Full-Time Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. As an APE, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and adaptive physical education services to students with special needs in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical education plans for students with disabilities
- Utilize adaptive equipment and modifications to support students' needs and abilities
- Assess and monitor students' progress and adjust instruction and accommodations as needed
- Collaborate with other educators and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive student care
Requirements:
- Valid Illinois teaching certification in Adaptive Physical Education
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
