Essex Westford School District is seeking a full-time Substitute Support Specialist at Albert D. Lawton School. This position serves as a school-wide resource as a substitute for various positions throughout the school; provides student supervisory duties to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students; and allows teachers time to lesson plan.EWSD offers excellent benefits including generous paid time off, medical, and dental insurance, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a retirement plan with up to 6% employer contribution.Primary job duties include but are not limited to, the following:
- Short and semi-long term substituting for paraeducators, teachers, and special educators.
- Supervise students as requested (during lunch, recess, before and after school, etc.)
- Provide orientation and support for new substitute paraeducators in the school.
- Assist with coordination of substitute coverage
- Provide general administrative, classroom, and school-wide support.
