Baker Furniture is seeking a Webber who applies webbing material to the seat of an upholstery frame to meet the product specifications.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport frame to the workstation and places onto work table, lift or bucks
- Cut webbing needed for the frame
- Staple and stretch webbing to the frame in the appropriate pattern
- Apply metal band to the frame depending on the style and required seat firmness
- Use hand tools, such as staple guns, mallets, clinchers, and similar tools
- Correct all mistakes on the piece before moving to the next work area
- Apply springs, coils, Restoflex units, inspect, clean up, and label
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years experience in similar field
- Excellent communication with clients, associates, and fellow Leaders
- Ability to work independently
- Team player with an enthusiastic outlook and creative mind
- Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
- Effectively manage multiple projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Detail-oriented and uphold brand integrity
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
- Ability to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
