Gaming Manager
Wyoming Horse Racing is seeking a Site Manager for our Gillette, Wyoming location. The Site Manager will be responsible for the overall efficient and profitable operations of the off-track-betting (OTB) facility through effective staff, site and equipment management while promoting the highest standards of customer service and security.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all site employees, enforces company policies and procedures, and identifies opportunities for professional development within their team.
- Ensures proper maintenance of gaming terminals and site security.
- Safeguards company funds and cash equivalents by ensuring all accounting, administration and asset handling procedures are consistent, up to date and regulated.
- Tracks and maintains site budgets for promotions, supplies inventory, staffing hours, overtime, site needs and upgrades.
- Collects documentation and financial data for daily reports.
- Prepares annual and periodic budgets as requested.
- Reports end of month statistics and variances in budgeted site income and expenses.
- Mentors and coordinates with the Assistant Manager to ensure smooth site operations and coverage.
- Develops rapport with customers to promote the company through personalized service that meets individual preferences.
- Promotes Wyoming Horse Racing and the site within the community through advertising and involvement in local events.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict management skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn statutory requirements of the Wyoming Gaming Commission and other regulations required for operation of the site.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong people management, supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or any combination of education and experience commensurate with a degree in business.
- At least three years of supervisory experience required.
Employment is contingent upon candidate’s ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
