Summary:
General assembler builds bus according to the process. Assemblers are assigned to a station that builds interior and exterior fixtures of the bus and follows work instruction pertaining to their assigned station in their department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assembles each stage of bus manufacturing according to processes
2. Reads blueprints
3. Uses measuring tape, levels, squares for installations based on Engineering documentation (metric and standard)
4. Use of standard hand tools where applicable
5. Use of power tools such as electric and pneumatic tools where applicable
6. Use of calibration tools
7. Drilling and handling of material such as (fiberglass, plastics composites and aluminum)
8. Installation and removal of fasteners such as nuts, bolts and rivets
9. Occasionally apply adhesives and sealants to bus processes
10. Installation of floors, windows, seats, and mechanical equipment
11. Demonstrates required skills
12. Upholds organizational values

15. Adapts to change in the work environment
16. Follows instruction, responds to management direction
17. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
Computer Skills:
Little to none
Certificates and Licenses:
No certificates required but Basic Electrical, Mechanical, Construction/General Contracting, Paint, and Welding certificates preferred

Pay: $16.26 - $17.00 per hour
