AMI is on the front lines of the Coronavirus response providing critical services including rapid response relief, testing, and vaccination services. The AMI Vaccination Program has the essential elements to ensure rapid execution of state COVID-19 Vaccination Plans. Vaccination is the key to our global emergence from this pandemic.

Position: Logistician

The Logistician will support regional supply chain requirements and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the movement of materials, supplies, staff, and products as assigned.
• Understand supervisor, organization, and stakeholder needs and how to meet them.
• Review logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
• Comply and propose strategies to minimize the cost or time required to transport goods.
• Support activities that include purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing.
• Handle the movement of medical goods in accordance with strict handling and compliance requirements.
• If applicable, coordinate staff movement and transport along with materials.

Qualifications:

• Certifications or training related to logistics or supply chain.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience logistics environments.
• Must be able to speak and understand English Language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to self-manage once given a task, adapt to change, and act as a team player.
• Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
