A well-established excavation & utility contractor based in Westchester County, New York is currently seeking a General Superintendent to oversee all company wide field operations. This position requires the candidate to have 10+ years of relevant experience within the excavation / utility industry. This is a full-time, long-term position for a knowledgeable, motivated and hands-on type individual with opportunity for growth and advancement. This position will operate out of our Tarrytown, NY office and will report directly to the company Vice President.
What You Will Be Doing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Field Operations for all Company Projects
Oversee All Activities, Planning, Production, Manpower and Equipment Requirements
Daily/Weekly and Long-Term Scheduling
Set-Up and Coordinate Resources, Work Scopes and Schedules With Job Foremen
Coordinate With Purchasing Department for All Material Needs and Deliveries
Procure Daily Job Reports
Schedule, Coordinate and Manage Sub-Contractors
Attend Meetings as Required
Manage Safety Program and OSHA Requirements
Ability to Manage People and Maintain Excellent Working Relationships
Excellent Leadership, Organizational and Time Management Skills
Expert Level Knowledge for Setting Up Jobs and Managing All Activities From Start to Finish
Demonstrate Expert Level Analytical, Technical and Problem-Solving Skills
