General Summary of Position:
The GPS Scheduling & Enrollment Management team is seeking a part-time scheduling and contracts specialist. This position supports the needs scheduling and contracts management through various administrative tasks, which help the overall flow of business operations through the academic and fiscal years. This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited, non-unit position.
- Weekly hours: 18, on a fixed / routine schedule.
- This is an on-campus job (remote work not an option).
- Position is not required to work on weekends or evenings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Update the class schedule, edit existing classes, enroll students, generate permission numbers.
- Monitoring changes and seeking out / correcting errors are a critical component. These duties are performed using UML’s Student Information System (SIS), PeopleSoft.
- Responsible for generating faculty and student employee contracts (and electronic pay records).
- Maintaining data on excel spreadsheets, answering phone inquiries and monitoring multiple team emails.
- Records administration is also a key component. These duties are performed using UML’s Human Resources / Payroll system.
- Candidates should possess the following attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail, strong Microsoft office skills, comfortable working with numeric information / datasets, able to appropriately handle confidential information.
- Professionalism and responsiveness.
- An understanding of the importance of accountability and responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- HS diploma or GED/equivalent required
- Preference for those with previous higher education experience
- Must be proficient in MS office
- Must be comfortable with data entry and working at a computer
