JOB SUMMARY

Work with the Top Notch Marketing team to bring the brands we represent to life and drive sales through innovative design and creative campaigns. Successful candidate will create high-quality and engaging promotional pieces, marketing assets and sales collateral that will drive measurable results. The Graphic Designer should have a strong knowledge of designing for all platforms – printed materials, digital assets, webpage design, etc. – with proven ability to visually express the benefits of our products and service solutions in a B2B environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Proven experience designing advertisements, brochures/flyers, social media, signage, branding initiatives and other corporate communications pieces.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member on assigned projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Capacity to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Must be able to organize and coordinate projects and schedules.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling and reaching.
  • Frequent sitting, squatting, twisting and standing.
  • Frequently handles and assembles small and large parts.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Take marketing promotional concepts and develop appropriate assets and collateral to take those ideas to market.
  • Design catalogs, magazine ads, promotional flyers, web ads, direct campaigns (email and print), social media ads, sales support pieces, flipbooks, newsletters, corporate communication pieces, etc.
  • Merge manufacturer branding requirements with Top Notch elements to create a complete, unified message.
  • Utilize design techniques to engage customers with our messaging to produce the desired results.
  • Continuously learn about the door hardware industry, products, events, and terminology.
  • Effectively communicate with manufacturer partners on marketing projects through regular conference calls, phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain our product image database and image library. Requires working with manufacturer representatives and/or outside resources to obtain images as well as using in-house photography equipment and image editing tools.
  • Work with third-party print and media vendors to uncover new design opportunities for our promotions (sizing, animation, etc.).
  • Develop A/B creative testing strategies for promotional pieces where appropriate and work with marketing team to interpret results to generate new creative ideas.
  • Organize and maintain a central repository for all marketing/promotional collateral.
Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ Years of verifiable design experience, preferably in an agency or B2B environment.
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Able to provide visual solutions for digital and print storytelling.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer and market research.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and proofing.
  • Experience with Email Marketing Platforms (Constant Contact or similar) is required.
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to adapt to change.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint (asset database).
  • Strong understanding of online customer experience and online metrics analysis and solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/social media etc.) and market research methods.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and handle multiple tasks.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Business, Marketing, or Communications, or equivalent work experience.
