Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a fully remote graphic designer reporting to our Hunt Valley, Maryland office.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for planning and illustrating concepts, coordinating with internal clients/project managers, working within project schedule and budget goals, reviewing draft and final layouts, and suggesting/implementing improvements.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Layout and development of a wide range of deliverables to support client, project, and corporate initiatives.
  • Document layout for reports, fact sheets, public involvement materials (boards, presentations, etc.), marketing materials, and advertisements.
  • Illustration of figures/diagrams, cross-sections, charts, infographics, tables, maps, and renderings.
  • Setup and layout in compliance with section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act when required.

What you will need:

  • B.S./B.A. Degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 3-5 years or related experience with extensive use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience with geography-related graphics development is a plus.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • A strong visual eye for composition.
  • Ability to work within brand guidelines when required.
  • Willingness and ability to be creative and work within client needs for client deliverables.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and clearly communicate reasoning behind designs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Photo editing skills a must.
  • Website development experience a plus
