Northern New Jersey Toy & Craft Manufacturer is seeking a talented Packaging Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and highly motivated, has a great personality and a passion for delivering creative designs to become part of our growing art department. The Designer will create unique and trendy packaging for our line of crafts, activity sets and fashion products, as well as working within certain client’s strict style guides. Previous full-time experience is a must.

Tasks/ Responsibilities

• Ability to Conceptualize, Design and Execute Unique/Trendy Packaging for our line of crafts, activity sets and fashion products
• Create Tight Art Renderings in Illustrator
• Exceptional Photoshop Skills
• Ability to render in 3D
• Strong Command of Visual Design Capabilities, Including Composition, Layout, Information Hierarchy, Typography, and Color Judgement
• Produce Factory Ready Final Art Files for Final Production
• Ability to Create Physical Mockups
• Work Directly with Art Director, Project Managers and Creative Team
• Able to Follow Client Style Guides

Qualifications

• Must Have 5-8 Years of Full Time Graphic Design Experience (packaging experience preferred)
• Highly Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for Mac: Illustrator & Photoshop
• Must Have Portfolio and Proven Experience in Designing Packaging (paper box, blister cards, etc.)
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and creative environment, all the while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Excellent Time Management Skills to Meet Strict Deadlines

Required Experience

• Design Experience: 5-8 Years in an agency or in-house art department
• Adobe Illustrator: 5-10 years’ experience
• Adobe Photoshop: 5-10 years’ experience
• Childrens toy packaging preferred
• Solid Works a plus
• Photography skills a plus
