Group Sales Manager, Red Jacket Resorts

Cape Cod’s Red Jacket Resort collection is seeking a group sales manager specializing in the tour and travel and SMERF markets. This role will be responsible for achieving group room and food & beverage revenues for each property.

The responsibilities of the position include:

• Soliciting new and existing accounts to meet/exceed room and food & beverage revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site visits and written communication
• Building and strengthening relationships with new and established accounts to promote future bookings through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trades shows, etc.
• Providing excellent customer sales service to grow share of accounts
• Developing relationships within the community to expand customer base and increase sales opportunity
• Understanding the competitive marketplace, economic trends and supply and demand
• Using negotiating skills and creative selling strategies to close business
• Developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Providing warm, genuine service to all customers

Candidate must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently. The individual must be willing to travel for sales calls, strategic trades shows and customer events. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the ability to make presentations to large and small groups. Three years’ experience in hotel group sales and a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
