Carthage Farm Supply, locally owned and operated in Carthage, NC, is seeking a motivated Hardware & Plumbing Associate.

Summary of Position

• Responsible for assisting customers with choosing products that best fit their needs.
• Cross-train to assist with product ordering, customer service, inventory and stock replenishment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
• Assist customers in choosing the correct hardware and plumbing products.
• Maintain inventory accuracy within your department.
• Order merchandise for assigned department based on sales trends and suggested order reports.
• Explore new product offerings with assigned vendors.
• Effectively communicate with teammates to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• ***Must*** have strong knowledge of Hardware and Plumbing products, plus the ability to recommend products for repairs, projects, etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Motivated self-starter
• Confidence with computers, point-of-sale software, ordering platforms and RF handhelds
• Background in retail garden, hardware, agriculture, agriculture sales, or other related fields preferred.
