HCRS, Inc. is expanding our seasonal HCC coding team and we are looking for experienced HCC Coders to work and perform duties related to medical coding and other tasks as assigned. Our compliance solutions help ensure that reported HCCs have sufficient evidence for CMS submission and protect our clients from costly audit and coding compliance failures.

Location: Remote

Hours: 20-40 hours per week as needed on project basis

Job Type: Part Time or Full time opportunities (Seasonal/Contractual)

Position Details

• Review coding opportunities assigned by Coding Manager to validate appropriate documentation and coding of work items submitted
• Maintain logs of all work performed and submits logs daily to the Coding Director/Manager
• Provide assistance and support to Coding Director/Manager on various clinical coding related assignments
• Provide their expertise and knowledge in relation to clinical coding, as needed, in various assignments
• Provide training and drafts training communication materials for clinical coding and other related areas, as needed
• Work with minimal supervision on a part-time, per project basis
• Work remotely but may be required to attend meetings/trainings in person as required
• Meet Productivity and Accuracy standards as outlined by Coding Director/Manager
• Perform duties and responsibilities outside of the aforementioned, as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must be U.S. based
• Must pass a HCC Coding Assessment
• HCC/Risk Adjustment Coding experience
• 2 years minimum certification as a CPC, CCS, CRC, RHIA or RHIT
• Minimum 2 years related clinical coding experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
