The Communications Specialist will support the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Office of Internal Audit (IA) and internal firm initiatives and special projects.

Responsibilities:The Communications Analyst shall assist IA in the execution of targeted program goals to include the following responsibilities:
- Support all communications tasks under HRO Audit program
- Provide strategic communications advice and support for both internal and external IA stakeholders.
- Leading a robust stakeholder management and communications program that includes regular newsletters, executive level presentations relating to program progress, planning and results
- Overseeing the drafting, editing and publishing processes of regular deliverables including:
- Meeting support tools
- Regularly scheduled newsletters
- Blog posts
- Audit plans
- Audit reports
- Annual Plans
- Audit Manuals
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications with a focus on business or healthcare administration
- Four (4) years of progressive, relevant experience, in healthcare or government settings
- Corporate knowledge of large-scale communications in a health care setting;
- Knowledge/experience with Veterans outreach and communication campaigns;
- Experience conducting media analysis regarding social media platforms;
- Experience with implementing successful (proven) communications campaigns in an integrated health care setting.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Travel may be required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work independently with a client team either on-site or in a remote working capacity
- Ability to conduct oversight of multiple teams working concurrently on discrete missions
