PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide maintenance instruction and install, remove, inspect, test, maintain, and repair systems, components, and ancillary equipment of helicopter powertrain systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance instruction, co-instruction, and instructional observation.
• Inspect, maintain, rig, troubleshoot, and repair helicopter powertrain and related aircraft systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance.
• Perform duties relating to flight line operations of aircraft to include launch, recovery and maintenance ground turns.
• Inspect, maintain, connect, adjust, and repair flight control (collective and cyclic controls)
• Inspect maintain, and repair engines and gearboxes
• Perform corrosion prevention and corrosion treatment
• Install, and remove engines and drivetrain
• Inspect and maintain support equipment
• Perform corrosion control inspections, prevention, treatment and repair.
• Accept aircraft materials from supply system and ensure applicable technical directives have been complied with prior to installation/use on aircraft
• Perform shift All Tools Accounted For inventories.
• Attend all hands FOD walk downs.
• Attend all required Maintenance Control meetings.
• Assist with aircraft ground handling and mooring
• Plane Captain for aircraft in test status.
• Assist in aircraft washes and other scheduled inspections
• Assist with Phased Inspection Team as necessary.
• Must be able to work shift schedules as required per Performance Work Statement (PWS)
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Must have dexterity to handle small parts
• Must be able to pass employment physicals
• Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties if required
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
