Required Qualifications/Educational Background and/or Experience

The successful candidate will have…

• Mastery of the Spanish Language, with the ability to teach Spanish I, II and III.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing as well as in person.
• Experience with and skill in developing unit and lesson plans, focused on helping students develop 21st century skills and competencies.
• Skills to effectively manage a high school classroom including the ability to create an environment conducive to learning and effectively resolving student behavior incidents.
• Familiarity with Salesian charism and educational practice, or a willingness to be further formed in Salesian educational theory and practice.
• At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Willingness to consent to a background check and participate in Archdiocesan and Salesian “Safe Environment” training.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have…

• Prior experience working in a High School environment
• Affiliation with an accredited World Language association (i.e. ACTFL)
• Willingness to connect and network with professionals to offer students a complete and enriching academic experience

Salary will be commensurate to the candidate's teaching experience
