General Purpose:
Manage the home health scheduling team under the supervision of the Director of Operations. Work with assigned clinical staff to deliver high quality healthcare in a highly regulated environment.
Essential Functions:
· Direct workflow for scheduling team in a chaotic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
· Ensure patients receive home care from licensed clinical staff within 48 hours of referral.
· Liaise with multiple payors to receive initial and ongoing authorization according to payor requirements.
· Run daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and payor requirements.
· Coordinate with clinical staff to arrange for discharge in line with payor requirements and patient needs.
· Train and develop assigned Scheduling Supervisors
· Handle escalated customer service issues.
· Prioritize visits to core clinical staff and utilize PRN staff for overflow.
· Assists with administrative and clerical tasks as directed.
· Conduct annual formal reviews with assigned staff and provide frequent informal coaching.
· Participate in on-call rotation.
· Document all interactions with clients, caregivers, and referral sources where appropriate.
· May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
· Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local government laws and regulations,as well as policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare.
· Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
· Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
· Leadership experience with groups or teams.
· One year experience working in Medicare certified home health or hospice agency required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
· Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and problem solve.
· Demonstrated multi-tasking ability and effective organizational skills in order to meet short deadlines with finite resources.
· Computer proficiency including the ability to utilize software programs for creating documents.
· Meets the requirements of federal and or state criminal and abuse background checks where applicable.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
· Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
· Ability to work flexible schedule and/or evening hours as needed.
· Physical activity is light to moderate requiring occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling small objects. Frequently walking or standing or sitting most of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
