POSITION SUMMARY
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for arranging and monitoring placement of caregivers into the homes of our clients. It is important to be an organized self-starter who has the ability to juggle many tasks while also being able to differentiate between tasks that need immediate attention.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in home care staffing/scheduling is a requirement
- Strong computer skills required, preferably previous experience with staffing software
- Positive, cooperative, and supportive communication skills are required
- AxisCare experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Staffing Coordinator will be enthusiastic about working with our clients and their caregivers and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Staffing Coordinator will work directly with other Staffing Coordinators and collaborate with the RN Manager to assure stability, continuation, and satisfaction on each case.
- Matches appropriate caregivers to clients according to availability, client needs and caregiver skill set.
- Makes sure that all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up coverage as necessary.
- Follow-up with client when there is a change in caregiver, schedule, or any issues of concern.
- Handles/resolves caregiver issues and scheduling changes.
- Communicate and confirm schedules, including any changes, with staff and caregivers.
- Promotes team communications.
- Provides information about services to prospective clients.
- Maintains positive relationships with all clients, caregivers and referral sources.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize.
- Be detail-oriented with great time management skills.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that supports all staff, clients, family members, and referral sources.
- On Call Rotation at least one week per month.
