About HaSalon

HaSalon comes to New York from Chef Eyal Shani (@eyaltomato), a renowned Israeli chef with 40 restaurants and counting worldwide. The group's signature restaurant, HaSalon offers two seatings per evening. The first seating is tranquil, with a heavy focus on the beautiful food we have to offer. As the evening progresses, the dining room becomes more upbeat and loud as the party builds. Around 10:30pm, the lights dim, the DJ comes on and the party begins. Our kitchen specializes in fresh, seasonal vegetables alongside homemade pasta, homemade bread, a variety of seafood, and unique meat dishes designed to share. Our chefs work in an open kitchen, making the overall vibe of the kitchen (and having fun) integral to the vibe of the dining room and the overall dining experience. Note: this is not a traditional kitchen job.

About the Role

We are looking for experienced hosts and hostesses to join our FOH team for the long run at HaSalon. While you must be comfortable working independently, you must also appreciate a strong team environment. We support a culture of promoting from within and are seeking the right candidate who also shares our values. This is a part-time hourly position with an ASAP start date. There is also potential opportunity for full time.

Responsibilities

• Clearly and politely communicate with guests
• Manage our reservation system on Resy and Open Table
• Manage communication with guests regarding special requests, allergies, large parties, reservation changes, etc.
• Inform the General Manager or Shift Leader of relevant guest information on a nightly basis
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with service team and management
• Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
• Assist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needs

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience in a high volume, high end environment
• Excellent communication and hospitality skills
• Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
• Must be professional and enthusiastic, with a strong passion for our food, brand & story
• Warm personality and a natural ability to create an upbeat, fun atmosphere encouraged
• Experience with Toast and Resy is required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
