Job Description: The Human Resources Assistant provides a wide range of HR functions and support for the general public, job applicants, employees, managers, and the office. The HR Assistant is responsible for front office activities, administrative needs, compliance-oriented tasks, and other supportive requests as assigned. The days/hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Remote work is not a possibility for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls
  • Manages the overall HR calendar including setting up interviews through phone calls, emails, and texts
  • Assists with employee recruitment
  • Greets employees and guests of RCC
  • Manages incoming faxes, voicemails, and HR email inbox
  • Orders supplies for main office and programs
  • Completes filing for the HR Department including Personnel Files, etc
  • Assists with conference room calendars
  • Organizes and keeps the front area of the office welcoming and clean
  • Monitors and maintains office equipment (mostly used by the HR team)
  • Take fingerprints and create company badges for new and current employees as a back-up
  • Completes employment verifications as received
  • Supports and tracks HR compliance and reporting

Requirements:

Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in administrative, receptionist, or customer service role required and one (1) year of Human Resources experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Physical Requirements

  • Walking on occasion
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Uses fine motor skills for activities such as typing, filing, etc. frequently
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull on occasion
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds on occasion
  • Ability to look at a computer screen for long periods of time

Environmental Factors

  • Works with others on an on-going basis and has public contact frequently
  • Ability to effective complete tasks and projects amongst consistent interruptions
  • Office setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
