Human Resources Assistant
Department – Human Resources
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.94 - $24.28

JOB SUMMARY:
This position assists the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in ensuring all assigned divisions and its employees are provided with exceptional HR support and guidance. This position will provide HR service to employees and managers in responding to general inquiries, providing administrative support to the HR Partner and ensure appropriate documentation is administered; coordination of hiring activities. Hybrid work schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide HR Service to Employees and Managers - Answer day-to-day HR questions from employees and managers. This may include responding to general inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies/procedures, training, or other general questions. Complex issues are referred to the HRBP or HR Manager.
  • HR Data Entry - Process employee changes into the HRIS including new hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Provide Administrative Support to HRBP and HR Manager - Respond to Unemployment Insurance inquiries. Create and maintain employee electronic files and other HR records. Assist HRBP in gathering information and documentation for audits and accreditations.
  • Coordinate Hiring Activities - Assist in managing candidates in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Coordinate new employee onboarding process including pre-employment requirements and creating offer letters. Will participate in facilitation of new employee orientation. Creation and tracking of multiple excel documents for onboarding of new hires, leave of absence spreadsheets, etc.
  • Project Work - Complete assigned projects including report generation, track requested information, assist with on-site accreditation surveys, calculate, and analyze information.
  • Ability to properly operate computers and utilize required applications, copiers, fax machines, scanners, phones, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
  • Valid WI Driving License
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One or more years of work experience in HR administration (i.e., Employee Relations, Payroll, HRIS) or in an Administrative Assistant role required
KNOWLEDGE, SKIILS AND ABILITIES:
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong data entry skills, creating and maintaining reports
  • Attention to detail, accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with payroll and HR systems is desirable.
  • Previous experience processing employee changes into an HRIS preferred.
  • Previous experience coordinating hiring activities preferred.
  • Previous experience responding to Unemployment Insurance inquiries preferred.
