Overview:

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Human Resources Assistant in direct support of the HR Director in Huntsville, AL. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level HR professional to learn and grow within the organization. The Human Resources Assistant must be an organized and customer service-oriented HR professional. The Human Resources Assistant must have experience with Microsoft Office.

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: 10%


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: N/A

EDUCATION: BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Must have at least (2) two years of HR work experience.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the full life cycle of Human Resources from employee candidacy to termination.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources rules and requirements for the state of Alabama and other states.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work and balance complex projects.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity with the ability to protect and maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Knowledge of DoD security clearances, rules and regulations.
  • Willingness to learn and be a team player.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to be flexible during times of surge, i.e. open enrollment periods and other.
  • Be highly proactive and self-motivated, have a positive attitude and disciplined work ethic.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PPT.
  • Experience with UKG, Costpoint and SharePoint would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of government contracting business practices desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing, completing, and maintaining I-9 forms.
  • Working with insurance brokers to support benefits administration.
  • Establishing, preparing, and reviewing personnel files for all new hires, and maintaining them throughout the life of employment.
  • I-9 verification and e-verify processes.
  • Providing administrative support for our ISO 9001:2015 certification program.
  • Conducting new hire orientations and offboarding debriefs, as well as handling all paperwork associated with onboarding and offboarding.
  • Offer letter administration.
  • Completing employment verifications and meeting with special investigators related to DoD Security Clearances to review personnel files.
  • HR Projects as assigned by the HR Director or VP.
  • Assisting employees with questions about policies, benefits, etc.
  • Assisting employees with training and tuition reimbursements and completing check requests.
  • Assisting with HR planning, scheduling, and coordinating of activities, meetings, and company events.
  • Ensuring that the Federal Law Labor posters are all up to date and visibly posted in our office.
  • Other office administration tasks as needed.
