Overview
This role will provide general support to the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for clerical transactions, communication, and problem solving in regard to routine tasks, projects, policies and procedures as they relate to core HR services, processes, and programs. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will help with administrative duties such as reception and employee events. Maintains accurate employee records/files. Provides assistance to staff, management, and external third parties and must maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Functions
- Serves as a liaison with payroll and benefits to ensure new hires, terminations, pay changes and other related services as administered appropriately.
- Act as the primary contact for the HR Team and performs employee service functions by answering employees requests and questions or directing employees to the correct point of contact.
- Assist employees with their needs (i.e. pay cards, jury duty request, RTOS’s)
- Responsible for employee files, data retention, and maintenance of employee files.
- Acts as backup for various areas of HR as needed.
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs, projects, and procedures, and manages correspondence for all associates.
- Complete reference checks and VOE
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Maintain daily Driver paperwork
- ACA tracking
- Assists with conducting annual open enrollment meetings
- Supply monitoring and ordering
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of this position
- Any other duties as assigned by leadership or that are essential to a smooth-running office
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Education:
- High School or equivalent
Experience:
- 1 year of Human Resources experience required
- Minimum 2 years general office experience, preferably in Human Resources
Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal
- Understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skill
Job Type: Full-time
