Human Resources Executive Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the executive leadership team to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees.
  • Plan, direct, and deliver all hiring and training procedures for new employees.
  • Continually educate union and non-union employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, and social media permissions, etc.) and keep employee handbook current.
  • Identify, develop, lead, and deliver training programs for management and staff, as needed.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with business leaders, while providing candid and constructive feedback to business leaders regarding salary planning & career progression.
  • Monitor employee progress, and drive employee engagement to promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
  • Manage, develop, and supervise one or two team members.
  • Identify, and develop learning and training programs that provide internal career roadmap opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee and support employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices to management through reviews of policies and practices.
  • Adhere to and maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Human Resources Executive Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Honest, ethical, and dependable, positive, hands-on, go-getter attitude
  • Experienced in mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Expert stress management skills and ability to make important decisions under pressure.
  • Attentive listener; understanding, empathetic, and personable.
  • 5+ years of people management experience with HR certification preferred.
  • Highly computer literate in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) and various HR software programs, including HRIS.
  • A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills, keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect managers and employees in all HR matters.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
