2020 Companies is now interviewing for a HR Generalist to perform a variety of specialized, complex activities in Human Resources with a strong emphasis on proactive problem resolution and departmental communications.

Duties and Responsibilities of HR Generalist:
- Effectively perform a variety of duties, which typically include working for the welfare of the employees/managers by resolving their issues, designing new policies and procedures, helping to build the morale, new employee training and compliance training, etc.
- Effectively administer employee benefits programs in compliance with carrier contracts and HIPAA laws (e.g. enrolling new employees, explaining benefit options, organizing benefit fairs, mediating benefit eligibility and payment issues, open enrollment, etc.)
- Thoroughly research discrepancies between employee, payroll, benefit providers, and government agencies for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of records
- Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations, leaves and performance management issues and ensure compliance with employment regulations
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits
- Identify ways to improve policies and procedures and train and provide support to HR team members
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Organize quarterly/annual employee performance reviews and undertake tasks around performance management
- Backup for Worker Compensation/OSHA processes
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Description:

- Accurately manage the reconciliation process for enrollments and billings to employees’ record (e.g. COBRA, 401k, health, FSA, etc.)
- Thoroughly research discrepancies between employee, payroll, benefit providers, and government agencies for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of records
- Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations, leaves and performance management issues and ensure compliance with employment regulations
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits

Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience
- Possesses superb written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of employment law, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred
- Organized and efficient in daily tasks
- Superior analytical skills plus demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously

Physical Requirements:
This is a ‘Sedentary’ position; there will be prolonged periods of sitting, exerting up to 10 pounds of force may be occasionally required. Additionally, this position will be required to:
- Sit for 2+ hours per day
- Hear alarms/telephone/tape-recorders/horns/normal voices
- Bend at waist, occasionally
- Have clarity of vision
