We are searching for a people-centric, detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to own the day-to-day HR functions at D.S. Brown. Founded in 1890, The D.S. What you'll do
- Works with hiring managers to develop and update job descriptions, establishing job requirements, skills, and qualifications to fill vacant positions.
- Coordinates full cycle recruiting efforts with hiring managers for current vacancies and utilizes a variety of resources to build and maintain a talent pool for future business needs.
- Leads engagement efforts, collaborating with peers to promote optimal company culture through avenues including but not limited to employee appreciation and recognition, community outreach and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- Responsible for the day-to-day HR functions of the organization.
- Acts as initial point of contact for all employees and maintains a pulse of the workforce through direct contact with all groups and shifts of employees.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Serve as a business partner and consultant to leaders, anticipating needs for change, recommending solutions, and influencing sustainable resolutions and change.
- Serve as a coach and trusted advisor to partners, helping translate strategic intent into measurable results for their teams and empower leasers to identify, develop, and reward high performance.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Maintains record of training and skills development, coordinates internal and external training classes, seminars, etc. Facilitates the establishment of personnel development programs with department supervisor and/or managers.
- Works with individual employees and managers to resolve complaints, concerns, and dissatisfactions. Prepares disciplinary notices, separation notices, and other related documentation. Conducts investigations to employee complaints and makes recommendations.
What we need
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or any other related degree is highly preferred.
- At least 5+ years of Human Resources experience
