Job description

The LFS Group is looking for a Purchaser that has experience buying products in the HVAC industry! A purchaser has the responsibility of buying products and services for the organization or for third parties. What purchasers buy could include finished products, manufacturing and production materials, office and plant supplies or services. Their duties include price evaluations, market assessments, product ordering, record keeping and tracking of inbound orders.

Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)

• Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses
• Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews, and analysis to assess their quality
• Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
• Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
• Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
• Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping

• Strong industry experience for accurate product/service quality assessments

Education and Experience

• High school diploma required; Business, Finance, or Accounting degree required.
• At least four years’ experience in accounting or a related field.

Physical requirements

• Required to stand, walk and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
