HVAC Repair Technician

Purpose:

As an HVAC Repair Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our customers’ HVAC systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, repairing and calibrating systems, replacing system components, and diagnosing problems. Additionally, you will also be responsible for communicating with customers regarding their systems, promoting and selling Cinch maintenance plans and whole home warranty options as well as the estimated cost to fix the customers system issues.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Ability to diagnose and make repairs as well as present options for replacements, upgrades, and warranty add on services
• Promote and sell Cinch maintenance and home warranty plan options to customers
• Provide constant communication with the customer and internal company support teams to update the status and timeline of routed jobs
• Perform a proper inspection of the customer’s system to prevent future breakdowns and ensure customer satisfaction. Guarantee costumers concerns are addressed and handled appropriately, timely, accurately and professionally
• Properly record system component information and repair requirements for all service jobs per company policy
• Meet key performance metrics, scheduling demands, and company warranty product attachment goals
• Attend team meetings as instructed on time
• Look for ways to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience
• Maintain truck stock inventory and parts documentation process per the company guidelines and standards

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and build effective relationships within the team
• Must display strong communication skills and technical competence
• Knowledge of structural and design of HVAC systems and electrical codes
• Follow OSHA requirements and safety precautions per company procedures and policies
• Results oriented and customer focused
• Strong time management skills and a self-starting mentality
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license

Experience/Other Requirements

• 5 to 7 years previous HVAC residential service experience
• Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse group of senior leadership, managers, customers, and staff either in person, via telephone or via e-mail
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, to include an on call rotation
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Current EPA certification and TDLR Registration
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• NATE certification is a plus

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• State of Texas certified technician registration
