About us

The Hickman is a senior Living Community located in the heart of West Chester, Pa. Guided by Quaker principles and tradition. The Hickman provides individualized care and assistance to older adults who seek a safe and affordable living enviroment.

Essential Functions:

• Minor Plumbing and electrical work
• Painting and preparing rooms for occupancy
• Landscaping , weeding, planting, pruning & leaf blowing
• Snow & Ice removal
• Clean & maintain floors utilizing and operating floor machine equipment
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycables
• Clean windows and lobby areas
• Work on special projects such as carpets and hard floor surfaces
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Skills:

• Operate floor care equipment i.e carpet shampooers, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
• Use and operate hand tools and small power tools
• Plumbing includingtoilet and sink repair
• Electrical/ Changing light bulbs, ballast, outlets and switches
• Painting including prep and caulking
• The availabilty for on call rotation

Experience Required :

• One year of maintenance preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
