About the Israeli- American Council:

The mission of the Israeli- American Council (IAC) is to build an active and giving Israeli-American Community throughout the United States to strengthen the State of Israel, our next generation, and to provide a bridge to the Jewish American community.

Job Purpose:

The IAC NY EDGE and Rimon Manager will work to expand IAC's community impact in the New York Region. The IAC NY EDGE and Rimon Manager will lead the overall young professionals and business community outreach and programmatic engagement to increase IAC’s presence in the New York area and attract more members to the network. The IAC NY EDGE and Rimon Manager will report to the IAC EDGE National Director.

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Responsible for getting to know target audience in the area, reach out to new young professionals communities in the region and create connections with local representatives and organizations.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and management of a variety of events for the EDGE and Rimon community while furthering aims of other IAC programs in addition.
  • Build and engage the Young Professionals community in New York as part of the EDGE community, through event planning and execution and community building activities.
  • Oversee the events that will add value to the EDGE and Rimon network and well as attract new members; identify, recruit, train and support the volunteers on an ongoing basis; work with leading volunteers on executing events; market the program in all channels (social media, flyers, presentations at different relevant programs/institutions, collaborations with relevant partners and more); knowledge sharing, ongoing learning from other regions, collaborate on national EDGE highlights (east coast summit, national summit etc.).
  • Manage corporate relationships from start to finish. Oversee relationships with funding partners, and work across internal teams to ensure requirements for funders are met and exceeded.
  • Oversee and implement the annual program budget for all programs; understanding the yearly budget and working accordingly, fundraising; identifying opportunities (grants, donors etc.); working with the development manager on applying and creating new financing sources across all programs.
  • Team Management – Oversee support team, temporary team and volunteers.
  • Lead the creation of new collaborations as well as preservation of relationships with existing partner organizations in the community such as schools, JCC’s and youth organizations, as well as professional networks and other associations, to maximize opportunities for the IAC as a whole.
  • Oversee the collaboration with the IAC HQ of a marketing plan of local programs and related events and oversee implementation, including online content, social media and promotion through local organizations.
  • Participate in IAC New York and IAC Business Development staff programming, including team meetings, retreats, national summit travel, Celebrate Israel, Yom Hazikaron commemoration ceremony, annual fundraiser.
  • Preserve partnerships with external entities after these are established by the Regional or Natioanl Director.
  • Direct the coordination of cross-program events and different non-IAC organizations in the region.
  • Spend time on the relevant social platforms to listen to community supporters and join their conversations. It’s the best way to learn more about your audience, how they think, and how they can be continually engaged and learn more about your cause.
  • Manage the regional calendar, including important program events, non-IAC events, and other items important to your region, as well as Data management and reporting of volunteers, members, opportunity catalog, contacts, capacity, market share and qualified leads.
  • Represent the IAC within assigned communities, cultivating relationships with the community in the region. Attend meetings with community organizations to increase awareness.
  • Oversee the establishment and implementation of volunteer-supporting systems to ensure an active and engaged group of volunteers.
  • Oversee the development of relationships with Israeli-American Jewish organizations in order to assist with sharing the programs.
  • Assures that all IAC events and programs are appropriately branded within the content and design of the event, Promoting IAC programs and events to New York Community, Online content, social media and promotion through local organizations.
  • Participate in IAC staff meetings, training and national conferences.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities. Knowledge about its: people, culture, conflicts, history etc.
  • Strong social skills and experience in community building.
  • Flexible hours to include work in the evenings and weekends as needed for a regional activity and seminars.
  • Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite products and social networking tools.
  • Highly efficient and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good operational & administrative management.
  • Ability to get along with all levels within the organization.
  • Speaks, reads and writes in English & Hebrew.
