ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide exceptional guest service. Clerks primary role is to greet guests and process and fulfill orders. This is done through professional, courteous and friendly behavior when interacting. Clerks also have a strong working knowledge of the products and services that are offered within the department. This knowledge allows them to share suggestions with guests. They are responsible to maintain departments standards and cleanliness. Some of this includes: assemble and present complete orders, product packaging, pricing, dating and wrapping or bagging all needed items; operating equipment (ovens, scales, mixers, sinks, slicers, grill, fryer, freezer, etc.); cleaning (dishes, floors, counters, equipment, taking out garbage, etc.). Clerks follow all policy and food handling regulations to ensure proper food safety including: cleanliness during food preparation, proper hand washing and personal hygiene.

• Provide frequent guest service through friendly behavior and extensive product knowledge.
• Prep or bake product.
• Take special orders accurately and provide suggestions as needed.
• Follow company recipes as written.
• Maintain cleanliness standards within the department.
• Follow company rules and state-mandated health and safety laws (Food Handlers Permit).
• Operate cash register and follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Proper operation, respect, and care for equipment.
• Maintain proper hygiene by washing hands frequently.
• Complete tasks, orders, product and all work.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.
• Work on special projects, other assignments or tasks as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 16 years of age
• No previous experience needed only a willingness to learn
• A current and valid state-issued food handlers permit (fee refunded after 6 consistent months of employment)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate confidently and clearly
• Enjoys working with others
• Self-sufficiency with the ability manage yourself
• Regular on-site attendance required
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
