Roles & Responsibilities:


Provides ancillary support to the technical operation of the Radiology department.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists technologists in imaging areas as needed.
  • Picks up and distributes supplies to designated areas as directed.
  • Assists in the movement of patients on and off exam table.
  • Locates additional equipment needed for patient transport (oxygen cylinders, IV poles and pumps).
  • Maintains continuous contact and responds promptly to request for emergency transport or assistance.
  • Returns equipment to designated locations for storage as directed.
  • Assist with maintenance and care of departmental imaging equipment.
  • Informs appropriate personnel of needed repairs to equipment or unsafe conditions.
  • Reviews EPIC for patient readiness.
  • Arrives and departs patients in IDX (RIS).
  • Assists all patients with personal needs as requested (i.e., restroom, use of bed pans, urinals, etc.).
  • Transports patients to other areas as needed, to and from radiology.
  • Observes all patients in the procedure rooms during the absence of the technologists.
  • Maintain competence during the year in accordance with hospital standards, and hospital mandated programs.
  • Maintain patient/employee confidentiality at all times.



Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
