The Industrial Maintenance Technician at National Strand is responsible for maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and modification of new and existing industrial equipment. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, will recommend and execute maintenance procedures, and may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Rotating Equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Preventive Maintenance Execution.
- Hydraulics, pneumatics and pneumatic controls and components.
- Inspection of equipment and effective communication with peers and managers.
- Must be able to weld.
- Use all sorts of equipment and tools for the trade, electrical testing tools as well as mechanical tools.
- Must understand and follow instructions.
- Must be SAFE and use the appropriate LOTO procedures.
- Must be able to learn quickly to operate equipment to test and assure its proper operation.
- Ensuring work area is maintained clean and safety standards are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
