The Division of Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking clinicians engaged in research to enhance our programs in Hematology/Oncology and Transplant Infectious Diseases

The Mayo Clinic Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a physician consultant in adult infectious diseases for an expanding academic practice at our Arizona campus.
We are seeking clinicians engaged in research to expand the research side of our busy clinical practice. This opportunity is in transplant infectious diseases and hematology-oncology infectious diseases. The ideal candidate will spend at least 30% of their time in research in Transplant and/or Hematology-Oncology Infectious Diseaes. Opportunities will be available for dedicated time, startup costs and shared resources. Numerous potential collaborators exist within Mayo Clinic Arizona, Mayo Clinic nationally and Arizona State University.

The Arizona.Bold.Forward initiative is greatly expanding our Arizona footprint structurally, clinically and academically. The Infectious Diseases practice serves the medical and surgical practices of one of the nation’s largest solid organ transplant and hematologic malignancies programs at our growing campus in Phoenix, Arizona. Current infectious disease specialty focuses include Solid Organ Transplantation, Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Coccidioidomycosis, Cardiovascular infections, Neurosurgical infections, Orthopedic infections, Travel Clinic, Microbiome therapeutics, Prevention and Control of Healthcare associated Infections, Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy and Antimicrobial Stewardship.

The division currently consists of 9 physicians, 2 Infectious Diseases PharmDs and two advanced practitioners who are engaged in a busy clinical practice, research and education. The division is home to the only Infectious Diseases fellowship in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Faculty are engaged in the training of infectious disease fellows, residents, and medical students and will be expected to be academically and clinically productive.
Qualified candidates must be ABIM board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases, possess excellent interpersonal skills, be team oriented and motivated to succeed clinically and academically. The position includes an academic appointment within the Mayo Clinic, Alix College of Medicine. This position is not available to J-1 VISA applicants.
