About the Job

ECMS specializes in the inspection, cleaning, and repair of the personal protective clothing used by first responder personnel during structural, wildland, and other emergency firefighting applications. The ECMS team also serves as a highly skilled resource to repair, modify and customize the uniforms. ECMS provides best-in-class support services for first responders and we take great pride in our business.

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile, motivated Processor/Driver at ECMS Kent, WA. This dual role has two main areas of responsibility: 1) processing & inspecting PPE elements (including data entry and shipping/receiving); and 2) driving company vehicles for pick-ups and deliveries.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Data entry related to element information, order entry, work performed, customer information, and shipping details.
• Learn NFPA 1851 and/or other industry standards and how they relate to our processes and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Operate hardware, tools, cleaning, and testing equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and perform accurate data entry.
• Sort, organize, inspect and launder personal protective ensemble elements.
• Participates in material inventory counts.
• Assist with facility cleaning.
• Drive company vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries.

Requirements

Must Have/Must Have Skills

• Valid, unexpired driver's license and driving record that meets requirements of our insurance provider.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
• Capable of lifting and handling elements that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, type, write and comprehend English.

Must Have Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team oriented and respectful.

Nice to Have

• Experience with shipping and receiving.
• Experience with inspection and laundering of clothing.
• Pattern reading.
• Industrial stitching skills using, walking-foot, industrial style, sewing equipment is instrumental to the success of this role.
