Midwestern Career College (MCC) has an open position for teaching in the Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (AAS in DMS) program at the Naperville campus starting Spring 2023.

Education and Experience:
The instructor must hold a bachelor’s degree in allied health sciences or equivalent and have RDMS certification.

We encourage sonographers with extensive experience to consider teaching as a career option. Our experienced program director will train you on how to teach program core courses, which prepare students for entry-level positions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The following are instructor expectations:

• Deliver approved curriculum developed by MCC
• Evaluate and document student progress through testing, observations, and assessment of skills
• Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skill development, and good patient care concepts

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The instructor should have the following knowledge and practical skills:

• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
• Computer-based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines
• Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse college constituents
