The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks an Internal Communications Manager to manage and implement advocacy and communication strategies in support of the Coalition’s mission and organizational goals. This position is located at 2111 Champa Street, Denver, Colorado 80205 and reports to the Communications Director.

Essential Job Functions

1. Manages and implements internal communications strategies using multiple channels including Sharepoint, CCH Intranet, E-newsletters, Netpresenter, and other tools as needed.
2. Ensures organizational initiatives, policies, and projects are successfully communicated to workforce members and are communicated using the CCH values, philosophy of service, and trauma-informed care and service delivery models.
3. Coordinates among departments to attain most accurate and up-to-date information to disseminate to workforce effectively.
4. Responds to feedback from workforce and adjusts communications strategies accordingly.
5. In partnership with CCH Leadership, executes internal communications response to crisis situations to maintain organizational perception and reputation.
6. Writes and produces content related to workforce members’ experiences with Coalition employment; maintain a comprehensive and current portfolio of workforce images and stories.
7. Develops copy, content, and graphics for internal communication strategies.
8. Develops, reviews, and improves website content and imagery ongoing through industry standards and metrics-based strategy.
9. Promotes organizational events on website on homepage and event-specific webpages.
10. Uses web analytics to understand and develop strategies to respond to audience behavior and demand on website platform and routinely produces reports for internal stakeholders.
11. Ensures that programmatic data and information on website is accurate by routinely inquiring with workforce members.
12. Responds to web forms and directs inquiries to appropriate workforce members when necessary.
13. Maintains current and complete COVID‐19 vaccination(s), as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.

Qualifications Summary

1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related program; or equivalent work experience.
2. Relevant work experience in communications, public relations and/or advocacy strategy.
3. Prior experience working with with homeless or underserved populations or experience working within a human services organization or government agency.
