SUMMARY

The principle role of the Inventory Control Manager is to maintain an accurate inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining product integrity through proper rotation of products, damage control, mock stock recoveries, and cycle counting. Also, ensuring warehouse operations meet or exceed all government regulatory standards as well as corporate and customer sponsored standards for safety and security.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Cycle Count program to include the release of Cycle Counts in the Red Prairie System (RP) ensuring that all locations are counted monthly
  • Complete Count Audits within 12 hours of generation
  • Maintain ERS log for Hub , complete claims within 48 hours of notification, provide response to the customer
  • Report on OFR twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday
  • Assist in researching items that are in Problem Area
  • Maintain internal and inbound damages – get proper disposition for destruction
  • Run Negative Lot Report and clear negative lots
  • Run query in RP for items that remain in Receive Stage Locations – Alert Ops managers to find the product
  • Run Query in RP for items that are in Liquidation/Expired and verify the status is correct
  • Run Inventory Balancing Report daily and make inventory and billing adjustments as necessary
  • Research PO Discrepancies when received from AR – make proper adjustments in JDE and RP to fix inventory
  • Research and correct all inbound receiving mistakes
  • Maintain Lot Formats in RP as well as assist in all aspects of item and facility setup in RP
  • Produce and distribute the Lithia Status Report daily
  • Produce the Items About to Expire report weekly, to include researching the cause for the potential loss and report to Customer Service and Purchasing
  • Participate in monthly Inventory Adjustments conference call
  • Complete and report real and mock stock recoveries
  • Promotional Items – cycle count daily
  • Samples – Ensure the proper case are pulled from inventory, ship via FedEx, Adjust out of system, provide VCB if finance will deduct or provide Inventory Adjustment record for a Misc. Invoice if finance will bill for the cases
  • Run Lot Integrity Report
  • Maintain products on hold status
  • Run Shelf Life Report for Hub
  • Build relationships and processes with Hub Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Finance Groups
  • Brief the managers on the Inventory Adjustment Budget status and otherwise participate in weekly manager open planning meetings and other meetings as appropriate
  • Ensure that safety protocols/standard operating procedures are being followed
  • Maintain documents for internal training program (SOP’s, HACCP, DQMP, etc.)
  • Participate in Saturday Manager Rotation
  • Participate in the DQMP and Silliker Inspection programs to ensure that we meet or exceed standards resulting in at least a good rating on our semi-annual audits
  • Assist with the training of managers, administrative staff, warehouse operators, and any new users on the WMS system

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirement

Minimum:

  • Preferred Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Operations, Business or 5 -7 years of supervisory and related experience.

  • Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
