RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, MN, is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore, and China. RTP Company’s engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.
We are currently seeking a Inventory Control Specialist in Fort Worth, TX.
The Inventory Control Specialist monitors the integrity of inventory and material handling processesensuring that both company and customer requirements are met.
Description
- Input finished weights and consumption of raw materials in batches in ERP
- Print, fix, and delete batches on weekly production schedules
- Assign in-process batches and in-stock inventory to fulfill customer orders
- Investigate discrepancies in raw material consumptions and finished material production
- Perform routine audits of stock
- Interface with customer service regarding inventory related details
- Answer questions about data from site management or leadership
- Work with Logistics Manager for inventory related transactions
- Assist in the yearly physical inventory, including entry of tags and preparing batches
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent amount of experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in production and/or inventory management preferred
- Experience managing and investigating quality complaints preferred
- Experience managing FIFO inventory systems preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and company ERP software
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze data
- Ability to accurately maintain data with strong attention to detail
- Ability to successfully work with other team members and departments
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Physical/Environmental Demands
Regularly required to sit for long periods of time as well as look at a computer screen. Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time. The individual must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds periodically. Proper personal safety equipment is to be used as required by plant safety procedures. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, hot and cold weather conditions. The employee is also exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard
Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
