JOB SUMMARY: The individual in this role will serve as a contributor to Bridgetown Natural Foods’s ability to record production in real time by maintaining inventory integrity and accuracy in production locations, performing transactions which issue materials and produce finished goods, coordinating back-staged materials and issuing waste to the order. The Inventory Gatekeeper must communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Scalers and Warehouse partners and build a professional relationship with internal customers. Focus should be ensuring real time accuracy in material transactions by maintaining established inventory practices. The individual in this role will be capable of acting as a Subject Matter Expert in IFS Inventory Control and Production Recording.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in planning and verification of pre-staged raw materials
  • Resolve variances in production locations
  • Assist with periodic cycle counts of production locations
  • Perform transactions which record production and consume raw materials
  • Apply labels and Customer Specific placards to finished goods
  • Assist with consolidation of finished goods partials
  • Coordinate transactions which move leftover materials to back stage location
  • Perform end of batch production run transactions and issue waste
  • Support IFS and allergen labeling of back-staged materials
  • Assist with escalating and troubleshooting IFS technical issues
  • Ensure feed wasted materials are properly reported/transacted
  • Support accuracy within item master records including material packaging type, pallet configuration and tare weights
  • Assist in training other staff as requested on Company policies and programs
  • Assist with Production reporting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing/food production environment preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Must demonstrate Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • A willingness to learn Company inventory management system
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, being flexible and adaptive to changing needs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong time management skills required; ability to adhere to a schedule and sustain the required pace of work
  • Ability to handle multiple competing assignments without losing focus on quality and food safety, priorities and daily plans, as well as sticking to established workflows
  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:

  • Able to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains and other allergens
  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
  • Position may require standing, repetitive movement, bending and twisting, exposure to sustained noise levels; working in very hot temperatures; exposure to hazards such as machinery, slippery floors, and powered industrial vehicles. May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be available for all shifts, nights, weekends, some holidays necessary and some overtime
