The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for inventory control of the Parts warehouse with oversight and assistance to other parts operations and their team members. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory with regards to stocking, planning, organizing, and controlling the overall Parts department operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Ability to supervise the work of office, administrative or customer focused employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and expect execution of the same from the entire Parts team.
  • Responsible for improving the parts availability for the Publix account which will be visible by improved first time fix rates.
  • Ensure overall improvement of the Publix scorecard and a reduction in backorders by monitoring usage rates from the trucks and current equipment in the stores.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for all things Parts town related, including the Parts in Town Program and the Parts Path program.
  • Establish and deliver warehouse performance targets for receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control in accordance with safety, task efficiency, and service reliability
  • Responsible for the security of the parts department and associated parts cage(s), as well as maintaining distributor stock for all warehouses
  • Work with parts team and service department to maintain inventory accuracy/integrity
  • Physical inventory count of the main warehouse and trucks must be conducted annually with results reported by warehouse. Variance of < 2% is expected
  • Work with teammates to minimize inventory variances, improve processes, and maintain extreme inventory accuracy
  • Develop, maintain, and cascade inventory reports (cycle count results, physical inventory results, revenue results, profit results, overtime, etc.) on an as-needed/consistent basis
  • Implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of the parts warehousing transactions and activities
  • Maintain acceptable DIOH levels based on careful monitoring and measuring of slow moving/obsolete inventory. Slow and obsolete (A.K.A. SLOB) inventory should be eliminated or removed from inventory without compromising customer satisfaction
  • Review all inventory restocking purchase orders with purchasing agent and approve
  • Maintain a balanced/JIT inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas
  • Develop departmental processes
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations for the Parts team members
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Education & Experience

  • Associates Degree (or higher) in Business Management or related field is preferred
  • 2+ years' experience with proven success in a lead role in inventory control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
