A NYC full-service law firm seeks an IP associate with 3-5 years of experience in Patent, Trademark and Copyright litigation and prosecution experience.

Essential responsibilities include:

• Assist in all aspects of IP litigation, from due diligence through discovery, motion practice, and appeals.
• Draft and prosecute patent, trademark, and copyright applications.
• Perform patent clearance and freedom to operate searching and analysis.
• Trademark searching, global trademark strategy development, enforcement, drafting demand letters, notice and take-down requests, online marketplace monitoring, TTAB proceedings, UDRP proceedings, and copyright enforcement.
• Assess risks and opportunities associated with IP licensing, technology transfer, sponsored and collaborative research agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliance, and similar matters.

​Required skills:

• New York Bar admission
• Registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office
• Litigation experience in Federal District Courts
• Superior writing ability and a quick-study aptitude, and the ability to engender client confidence and thrive in a creative, entrepreneurial, and collegial environment.
• A demonstrated aptitude in managing independent projects within a team environment in a fast-paced practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Strong client service skills and ethics
• Demonstrated ownership of projects but has a willingness to work hard in a team-oriented setting and significant independence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
