Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Vocational Specialist

Unison Health is excited to announce the implementation of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Program. IPS is an EBP that works with individuals with disabilities to find successful employment opportunities. The IPS model works closely with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities Departments to develop a network of employers that can maintain supportive employment opportunities for our consumers. This opportunity will work closely with leadership to implement this program and work to grow this exciting opportunity within our agency. This position will require community-based work.

This position will work directly with clients to assess their current employment goals, develop resumes, prepare for interviews, provide onsite job coaching and check-ins with employees and employers, work to build relationships with potential employers, and provide benefits management to clients re-entering the workforce while receiving public benefits. Case management duties will also be required.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field required. LSW or LPC preferred. Must have at least one year of experience in vocational rehabilitation services. Specialized training in vocational rehabilitation from an accredited program may be substituted for one year of work experience.
