Job description
Equivalent ExperienceWe are currently seeking server technicians to deploy and maintain servers at the Microsoft Data Center in West Des Moines. Your job will be to repair and replace hardware components on servers, such as hard drives, motherboards, and RAMs.
Previous hands-on professional IT experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to consider candidates without professional IT experience if they have personal experience building custom PCs or replacing hardware components.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to service tickets for servers in the datacenter in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to getting a server back online for the customer
- Track server fleet health and validate that we are always exceeding customer requirements for total servers online
- Provide consistent, detailed feedback to the engineering team on failures, serviceability of servers, and integration with the datacenter
- Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using engineering-approved tools
- Keep parts lockers up to date and properly stocked at all times
- Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times
