We are looking for a long term consultant to work on our hardware test team on campus at a very well-known customer site in Seattle. This role is for the person who’s interested in working with emerging technology and having a direct impact on existing and future lines of consumer electronics. Description
This person will be responsible for testing hardware devices such as laptops and tablets and validating HW (hardware) for both board level and system level performance. The primary focus will be on keyboard and touchpad testing. You will work with a team of developers, test engineers, and product owners to ensure that the hardware is tested and validated thoroughly.
Responsibilities:
- Execute documented test cases against the hardware to ensure that the keyboard and touchpad are functioning correctly.
- Defining new test cases for new features or requirements.
- Identify, report and document bugs found during testing in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, test engineers, and product owners to resolve any issues found during testing.
- Work on bug repros and validating fixes.
- Participate in regular stand-up meetings and provide regular updates on testing progress and any issues encountered.
Deliverables:
- Perform board level and system level validation.
- Generate test reports on regular cadence for test passes.
- Detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce and relevant logs for each issue found.
- Communicate test status reports to update the team on testing progress.
- Collaborative problem-solving efforts with team members to resolve issues found during testing.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret EE schematics and layout
- I2C Protocol Analyzer/JTAG/Oscilloscope/ standard lab equipment
- Experienced in board level testing, system integration and user scenario testing
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps
- Experience programming in high level language (Python, C#, or Java)

Pay: $69,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
