LSEG/Refinitiv MMD is looking for a Jr. Analyst in its US Municipal Bond benchmark business. US municipal bond benchmarks play a critical role in intraday and long-term decision-making for our customers.
The Analyst will assist the MMD Analyst Team in the collection and observation of daily trading data, news, and other sources of market information critical to the production of the MMD yield curves and distribution thereof to our clients.
We operate in a Hybrid Work environment where the ideal candidate would be working 2-3 days a week at the office and the remaining days remote. LSEG offers 25 days of PTO, select Federal holidays, and 2 Volunteer days of PTO to all new hires. Daily Activities Include:
- Compile and analyze data and feedback from a variety of sources (primary market, secondary market, buy side, and sell side contacts)
- Build relationships with contacts and leverage research for the benefit of all clients
- Track and report on information regarding general buying interest; primary market levels inclusive of pre-marketing, preliminary and final
- Proactively monitor and report on market and industry activity to assist clients with forming opinions
- Work closely with MMD Analyst Team to coordinate and deliver clear and concise information to clients
- Support MMD Analyst Team in publishing timely intraday, end of day and benchmark yield curves and literature specific to US Municipal Bond industry
- Keep client base abreast of all aspects in the Muni market including market trends, new structures, issuance, and regulatory items
- Ability to support your advice with meaningful and objective data
- Follow regulations and internal policies & procedures
Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- 1-2 years of practical business experience within the fixed income community preferably US Municipals Bonds
- Undergrad Degree - Not Degree Specific (Need to have a strong desire to learn about Municipal Bonds)
- Strong knowledge base in Excel/Word and other Microsoft functionality
- Code/SQL a plus
