The Junior Digital Designer is responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences, with support from the Art Directors and Senior Designers. Ultimately, they’ll create both functional and appealing beautiful e-commerce module designs as well as email designs that address our client's needs. They will use their creativity and eye for design – along with their technical knowledge – to develop great experiences. They’ll work with an Art Director, UX Specialist, Project Manager, and development team.
General Duties
- Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback
- Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
- Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
- Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams
- Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience

- Motion Design: Thinks about how animation can be incorporated into designs and includes micro-animations/interactions into Figma mocks and style guide.
- Presenting: Presents clearly and has the ability to explain rationale behind design decisions.
- UX Knowledge: Understands the importance of following UX best practices and actively seeks out guidance on how to learn more and incorporate best practices into designs.
- Follows ADA & SEO best practices: Understands the importance of following ADA & SEO best practices and actively seeks out guidance on how to learn more and incorporate best practices into designs.
- Subject matter expertise: Focuses on graphic design skills and stays on top of email design trends. Begins developing UI/UX knowledge.

Skill Requirements
- 1-year minimum experience in Graphic Design experience (Klaviyo, a plus)
- 1-year minimum experience in UX/UI Design (Shopify, a plus)
- 1-year minimum experience in Figma
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Quick problem-solving skills with exceptional aptitude and reasoning
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
