etc.venues, New York's’ premier conference and events venue company and is looking for an exceptional Kitchen Porter to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pro-active, energetic, standards driven, customer focused Kitchen Porter with an eye for detail and strong communication skills. You will be a vital part of the future success of our venues with demanding duties, including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Washing dishes, equipment and utensils
• General cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen space and equipment
• Receiving, unpacking and checking of food and deliveries
• Supporting inventory of the kitchen by storing incoming goods, rotating stock and notifying managers when items need to be re ordered
• Checking temperatures and condition of refrigeration equipment daily
• Basic food preparation such as washing, peeling and cutting of ingredients

Competencies

• Have experience within a busy kitchen or similar fast-paced environment
• Possess knowledge of basic food preparation and food hygiene
• Have excellent punctuality and time management skills
• Have a flexible “can do” attitude, be an exceptional team player and aim to be the best you can be!
